The Arpin Group has become the first company in the moving and transportation industry to perform a sustainability self-assessment with the help of the International Society of Sustainability Professionals. The assessment helped the company to assess its performance against existing sustainability benchmarks

"While there are changes we and other companies can continue to make internally, we have to ultimately migrate away from fossil fuels and replace them with clean energy in the long term," said Peter Arpin, Partner of the Arpin Group. "I'm optimistic we can get there because the returns are enormous.

Arpin has already invested heavily in sustainability.  Its premises already feature: solar panels that provide 40 per cent of the building's electrical power; reflective roofing to reflect heat; solar reflective windows; energy efficient HVAC units; occupancy sensors to control lighting; and wide use of recycled materials.
