Recently the FTA travelled through Calais with one of its members to experience what the drivers in the area were facing and shot a video.

Although the chaotic situation in Calais has slipped from the headlines now that the summer tourist season is over, there is no respite for the unfortunate truck drivers who have little option but to use thebeleaguered French port.  Rapidly growing numbers of so called asylum seekers and migrants are breaking into vehicles and threatening truck drivers in an increasingly violent manner as they desperately try to reach the UK.

Recently the FTA travelled with one of its members – Blair Transport - through Calais to experience what the drivers in the area were facing and shot this video.
