Materials handling specialist Parrs, has announced the signing of a new dealership agreement to distribute the German-manufactured CargoMaster Stairclimber in the UK.

The battery-powered CargoMaster can be transported easily in a small vehicle and can be charged on the move. The mechanical brake is a unique feature of the product meaning the truck and its load can only be moved down a staircase by the active intervention of the operator to ensure safety.

The CargoMaster is manufactured by AAT near Stuttgart and represents all the engineering excellence one would expect from a company based in the heart of Germany’s automotive sector.

Parrs’ Managing Director Richard Scholes said, “For 25 years we have been supplying the Expresso hand trucks to the removals industry and during this time we have been searching for an automated product to match its quality. The CargoMaster is the only powered stair climbing truck that completely satisfies our requirements for a safe, reliable product to move heavy objects and white goods up and down straight or spiral staircases.”

Richard added, “We believe the removals and relocations industry is ready for a truck that increases productivity and reduces accidents in an area that has long been a concern, moving heavy items up and down staircases.”
