Bishops used two brand new DAF 18-tonne vehicles for the ministerial move, one sporting retro style livery similar to that used on the company’s vehicles in the 1930s.

Bishop's 165 Anniversary liveried vehicleIt was an excellent opportunity to show off the new vehicle, which was commissioned as part of Bishop’s 165th Anniversary celebrations.

Neil Bishop, Chairman & BD Director of Bishop’s Move said, “It was very important to us to conclude the modernisation of our fleet with a celebration of our proud heritage. This final addition to the refurbished Bishop’s Move fleet exhibits a livery based upon an era of Bishop’s Move operated by my Grandfather John Bishop and his cousin Donald Bishop.”

“The livery of these vehicles reflected sought after destinations for home removals and the service Bishop’s Move could provide, a clear incentive for members of the public whom were involved in the housing market and looking for a quality service. The artwork is of an Art Deco design, preceding the Art Noveau stylings of the 1900’s.”
