Charles White, President of IAM, was centre stage (if that’s the right expression) for his traditional ‘State of IAM’ address during the virtual IAM conference in October. It was a somewhat strange environment for Chuck, to be speaking without an audience, but he carried it off well.
He said that this meeting was “The bridge to the future” that would connect people when in-person meetings were impossible or impractical. Chuck said that he expected to learn lessons from the first virtual meeting and he was confident that the medium would play an important role in future meetings to create a hybrid - part virtual, part face-to-face.
Chuck spoke of the Member Needs Survey that had asked for more access to online learning and how the IAM Learning platform was addressing that need with an increasing number of members engaging with it. The New IAM Trusted initiative was also providing certified programmes for individuals in the industry ...
