The latest Annual Industry Report from the Self Storage Association UK and Cushman & Wakefield shows the industry has recorded some of its best results during 2020, significantly increasing occupancy and returns.
Customers stayed longer as a result of lockdowns, reducing churn in the businesses. As expected, more enquiries moved online with walk-in’s reducing. Developments of new sites continued and was only slowed by the conditions lockdowns and the pandemic put on the construction industry and access to building materials.
