Patrick Hicks talks to Richard Pegler, Publisher of The Mover Magazine, about changes to the publication that are being introduced this year.

Richard Pegler

Patrick: What’s the big announcement everyone in the industry should know about?

Richard: We’re incredibly excited to share that The Mover Magazine is evolving into The Movers & Storers Magazine. This change marks a major milestone for the publication and reflects the full breadth of today’s removals and storage industry. It’s a refreshed, modern, and more dynamic digital title built to serve a sector that continues to grow, diversify, and innovate.

Patrick: Why is now the right time for this evolution?

Richard: The moving and storage industry has changed dramatically in recent years - and so have the expectations of professionals working within it. Businesses want deeper insight, better data, and more meaningful storytelling. This evolution allows us to better mirror the reality of the market and deliver content that truly supports operators, suppliers, and decision-makers.

Patrick: What’s changing in terms of publishing frequency?

Richard: From March 2026, The Movers & Storers Magazine will move to a bi-monthly schedule, delivering six enhanced digital editions per year. This isn’t about doing less -it’s about doing more of what matters. Each issue will be a flagship edition, packed with in-depth features, sharper analysis and higher-value content.

Patrick: How does this benefit readers?

Richard: Fewer - but more focused - issues give us the space to go deeper. Readers can expect richer long-form journalism, expert commentary, and data-driven reporting rather than quick monthly summaries. Alongside the magazine, our website, newsletters, and social channels will provide continuous updates, ensuring readers stay informed all year round.

Patrick: What kind of content will define the new magazine?

Richard: Every edition will showcase feature-first journalism, covering UK and international news, interviews, and trends shaping the industry. There will be strong event-led coverage, quarterly market snapshots, and the launch of our annual Mover Market Index, offering exclusive benchmarks and insights. Sustainability and technology innovation will have a dedicated spotlight, alongside real-world perspectives from operators across global markets.

Patrick: What does this mean for the future of the publication?

Richard: This is a hugely positive step forward. The Movers & Storers Magazine is designed to inform, inspire, and connect the industry with more depth, more data, and more opportunities to engage than ever before. It’s a platform built for the future - one that supports long-term quality, innovation and growth.

Patrick: What should readers do next?

Richard: Stay tuned for the launch of the first issue under the new name. We’re proud of how far the publication has come and grateful to everyone who’s been part of the journey.

The future of The Movers & Storers Magazine starts now - and it’s an exciting one.
