Mondial Movers: ‘preferred launching customer’ Maxus EV80 Chassis Cab

Jan 29 | 2019

Mondial Movers has announced that it has become the ‘preferred launching customer’ in Europe for the SAIC Maxus EV80 chassis cab.

Mondial MoversLou Jedeloo, Brand Ambassador Maxus Europe, handed over the keys to Jan van Santen, director of the Mondial Movers branch in Groningen: Mondial Oostland Removals.

Maxus is a Chinese brand and the Maxus EV80 was introduced last year to the European market in two versions: the van and the chassis cab. Mondial Oostland Removals is the first company in Europe who ordered the chassis cab. The electric van has a range of almost 100 miles (depending on the driving conditions) and requires about two hours to fully charge via fast charging. It has a volume capacity of approximately 17m3.

Maxus has awarded Mondial Movers with the title 'preferred launching customer', which made it possible for Mondial Movers to get the vehicle delivered more quickly while Maxus gets access to the actual usage results.

Mondial Movers has operated a large sustainable vehicle fleet since 2011. The company says that more clients are asking for electric transport.

Weight and payload
According to vehicle reviewer Parkers Vans the panel van variant of the Maxus EV80 has a GVW of 3.5 tonnes and a payload of 1,419kg with its diesel engine.  Using the electric motor adds a further 469kg to the weight of the vehicle giving it a payload rating of 950kg. Mondial Movers said the payload with their body style is 400kg.
