The BS 8564 Overseas Removals Services: Requirement for Overseas Removal Services, is available for comment until 30 June.  The standard is intended to raise both industry and consumer confidence in these services, and also help organisations improve customer satisfaction and retention by:

• helping companies understand the level of resources and service levels that consumers are entitled to expect from them;
• reassuring customers that smaller businesses would give the same assurances to their customers as the large national international companies;
• explaining and encouraging the use of fair, ethical and inclusive practices.
