Success at The Movers & Storers Show

Nov 23 | 2011

The Movers and Storers Show 2011.

The Mover was delighted to attend and to act as the media partner for The Movers and Storers Show over the last two days.  Reports say that numbers were down a little but the quality of those who did attend, from the point of view of the exhibitors, remained very high.

Thanks to all the people we chatted to for taking the time to talk to us during what was a very busy two days.  Your stories will appear in issues of the magazine over the next few months.  Those who made even the vaguest suggestion that they would like to become advertisers will be getting a call from our sales team in the very near future.

Congratulations to all the guys who won competitions: APAK, James Removals and Jason Williams for their success in the truck show; and Britannia Bennetts for a fine performance in the packing competition.  Congratulations too must go to Paul Bullock and Dave Ewart from PHS Teacrate who had their moustaches shaved off for charity.  Well done guys.

The learning zone was well attended too and we spotted a few lively exchanges between the audience and those on stage.  We’ll be reporting on those too in the January issue, so you know where to go for all the gossip!  Well done Neville Moody who acted as MC and kept the whole show on track.  Not an easy job but he did it very well.

Finally a big thanks to Keith and Charlotte from Animo, the show organisers.  They did a fabulous job and we should all applaud them.  Those of you who thought about taking a stand but didn’t, and those who were planning on visiting but couldn’t be bothered … well, you missed an opportunity.  Next year, be sure to be at the front of the queue.
