The Past in Pictures.

Simon Bray of Bray and Son Ltd. in Maidstone, Kent sent in this picture of his grandad, Frank Bray who started the company. 

Frank started the business after leaving his wartime service in 1946.  His first vehicles were converted army trucks.  According to a note on the back of the picture it was taken just after being loaded read to head off to a job in Bromley.  It was taken sometime in the 1960s.  The company now runs a fleet of ten assorted trucks from 3.5 – 36 tonnes.
