London Olympic update; strike talks.

Talks are being held between the Unite union and Severn River Crossing (SRC) to avert a strike by toll booth staff. 

Both Severn bridges between Wales and England would be affected.  About 70 staff voted for industrial action in a dispute about proposed shift changes.  SRC is obliged to keep the crossings open and it is not clear how this would be accomplished if the strike goes ahead.  One option would be to suspend tolls; however SRC is confident a resolution will be found.
