Moving in the cold with Harrow Green

Aug 19 | 2013

Harrow Green has developed a way of moving commercial freezers over long distances while keeping their contents inside temperature controlled. An innovative device converts the vehicle’s power supply enabling the freezer to function normally during its journey.

Using leading edge technology in this way saves the customer time and money; it means customers don’t need to make separate arrangements for transporting temperature sensitive goods which would involve specialist, expensive vehicles.

This unique device was put to the test recently when Harrow Green was asked to transport several freezers and their contents from a university in Edinburgh to Manchester. It was essential that the freezer temperatures were maintained throughout the 5 hour journey.

Terry Gibbs, Harrow Green’s Regional Director said, “The university was confident that Harrow Green would deliver the contents of the freezers to Manchester exactly how they left Edinburgh. Our client was extremely pleased with the service we provided. We have since received several new enquiries for similar removal projects.”
