Van der Ent Group Netherlands acquires Hakotrans Spain

The Van der Ent Group in the Netherlands has announced that it acquired the economic unit of Hakotrans Mudanzas in Spain on 12 February, 2025.

David Hernandez, Christian Van der Ent and Neus GonzalesHakotrans, under the leadership of its current owners, Neus Gonzàles and David Hernandez, has established itself as a well-respected name in the Spanish moving and logistics sector.  All current employees of Hakotrans will remain with the company. In a press release the management of Van Der Ent explained that it believes that their knowledge, experience, and commitment are essential to maintaining and further developing the level of service to which its customers are accustomed.

David will continue to play a key role in the company. He will take on the position of branch manager & sales, overseeing both operational and commercial growth in Spain. Neus will step back from the business to focus more on her profession as a psychologist.

Van Der Ent said that this acquisition will allow it to further optimise return freight from Spain to the Netherlands and other European destinations. Additionally, it sees significant growth opportunities in groupage from Spain, allowing it to offer customers more efficient and sustainable services

From 12 February, 2025, the company will continue its activities under the name Van der Ent Mudanzas. The company said that the name change is intended to establish a strong link with the long-standing history of Van der Ent Group, which has been a well-recognised name in the moving and logistics sector for over 100 years.
