The Faroe Islands’ first self-storage facility, Goymsla, has opened in Tórshavn, introducing smart storage technology to the North Atlantic archipelago.
Home to around 55,000 residents, the islands now have a modern, tech-driven facility developed in partnership with Janus International Europe.
Goymsla’s design features the Nokē Smart Entry system – the app-based access control solution permitting tenants to unlock and manage their units from their smartphones.
Spanning 1,000 square metres across two floors, the site offers 118 secure units ranging from 2 to 15 square metres for both private and commercial use.
“Bringing Nokē Smart Entry to the Faroe Islands is incredibly exciting,” said Shalin Sankar, Head of Nokē Smart Entry Europe. “Goymsla shows how smart technology can enhance the tenant journey while helping operators manage their facilities efficiently.”
