Stirling Sinclair Removals Group (SSR) has made its fifth acquisition in less than a decade with the purchase of Alloa-based RP HIAB Transport.
The six-figure deal marks a strategic move into the heavy lifting and container haulage market for the Stirling-based company.
Founded in 2016 by former Scotland Under-20 rugby player Adam Sinclair, SSR has expanded rapidly through a series of acquisitions, including Glen Transport, Britannia Edinburgh, Letford Removals and Larbert Carriers. The group also operates Edinburgh Self Store and Stirling Self Storage facilities.
The newly acquired company has been rebranded as HIAB Container Scotland and relocated to SSR’s headquarters at the Back O’ Hill Road Industrial Estate in Stirling. Sinclair said the move will enable the group to offer a “one-stop shop” for container transport, sales, and storage.
“A lot of companies transport containers and others sell them – but few do both,” Adam explains. “By bringing everything in-house, we can offer a more streamlined service for customers.”
Strategically located near the Port of Grangemouth and Coatbridge rail terminal, the new division strengthens SSR’s logistics offering. A member of the British Association of Removers, SSR serves both residential and commercial clients across the UK, including Andy Murray’s Cromlix hotel.
