Elite Moving Systems (EMS) is this year celebrating its 20th anniversary.
Founded in 2005 by Ronan Woodhouse and Nick Stevens, EMS began with a simple mission: to provide high-quality moving services built on integrity, care, and professionalism. Two decades later, the company reflects on a journey shaped by perseverance, innovation, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
Looking back, Woodhouse recalls the company’s early days with pride. “In the beginning, resources were limited, but our focus on quality never changed,” he says. “Those founding values have guided us throughout the last 20 years.”
Over the years, EMS has broadened its capabilities, expanded its global partnerships and embraced new technologies to support the evolving needs of the relocation industry. The company has also been proactive in responding to major challenges facing the sector - from regulatory pressures to global disruptions - and has continually adapted to ensure it remains resilient and forward-looking.
Technology has played an increasingly central role in EMS’s development. The company has implemented AI-driven tools to improve operational efficiency, enhance planning, and streamline documentation processes. EMS sees these investments not as replacements for personal service, but as tools that support its long-held commitment to reliability and attention to detail.
This landmark year also comes with an important accolade. EMS has recently won the Cartus Masters Cup for the third consecutive year. Presented by global relocation specialist Cartus, the award is regarded as one of the most prestigious honours within the international mobility sector.
“Winning it once is a milestone,” says Woodhouse. “Winning it three times in a row is history.”
As EMS marks 20 years in business, the company is focused on the future, continuing to invest in innovation, sustainability, and the next generation of moving technologies. While much has changed since 2005, EMS maintains that its core purpose remains the same: to deliver dependable, high-quality moving solutions shaped by the values on which it was founded.
