AD Ports Group has announced a series of senior executive appointments to strengthen the leadership of its Logistics Cluster, reinforcing its ambition to become a leading global logistics services provider.
The expanded leadership team will operate under Jochen Thewes, recently appointed CEO of the Logistics Cluster, and build on the global platform established through Noatum Logistics.
At global level, Thorsten Meincke has joined Noatum Logistics as Executive Vice President – Ocean and Air Freight. Meincke brings more than 20 years of international leadership experience, most recently as COO and Management Board Member at DB Schenker, where he oversaw global air and ocean freight operations. His previous roles at Kuehne + Nagel included Senior Vice President of Global Sea Freight and Global Vice President of Sales and Marketing.
He is joined by Björn Eckbauer as Senior Vice President of Global Air Freight Development and Procurement. Eckbauer adds over 30 years of air freight expertise, having led global operations and procurement at DB Schenker. Boris Kuehn has also been appointed Senior Vice President of Mergers and Acquisitions, bringing extensive experience in corporate venturing, M&A and post-merger integration from roles at Deutsche Bahn AG.
To complement the global leadership team, AD Ports Group has strengthened its regional management. Thorsten Pook has been appointed Managing Director for the Middle East, Samad Osman will lead the Africa region, and Roberto Moreno takes responsibility for Latin America. Each brings decades of executive experience across major logistics markets and a strong track record in growth and transformation.
