MOTs extended by six months – COVID-19

The Driver & Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) has announced that due to the unfolding COVID-19 situation, cars, vans and motorcycles due for MOT from 30 March, 2020 will be given a six-month extension.

The DVSA says this will allow vehicle owners to continue to get to work where this absolutely cannot be done from home, or to do essential shopping.

Vehicles must be kept in a roadworthy condition and drivers can be prosecuted if they drive an unsafe vehicle.
