Maritime Transport has been named Road Freight Company of the Year.

Maritime Transport has been named Road Freight Company of the Year at the 2025 Multimodal Awards, held on 17 June at Birmingham’s NEC. This marks Maritime’s seventh win in the category since its introduction in 2016.

The award, voted on by Multimodal Newsletter readers and event attendees, recognises excellence in road logistics. Maritime’s stand at this year’s show featured a Volvo FH Electric, previewing the company’s upcoming deployment of over 50 battery electric trucks. These vehicles, supported by high-powered chargers at 13 sites, are set to enter service in September as part of Maritime’s zero-emissions first and final mile strategy.

The Multimodal event welcomed over 300 exhibitors and thousands of supply chain professionals for three days of networking, conference sessions, and innovation showcases.

John Bailey, Managing Director – Intermodal, noted the award reflects Maritime’s commitment to decarbonisation and building a cohesive, low-carbon logistics solution across road and rail operations.
