Scania UK took centre stage at the recent Road Transport Expo, unveiling its new 11-litre Super engine for the first time globally.
Designed for weight-sensitive operations, the engine is available in 350hp, 390hp, and 430hp variants, and offers longer service intervals and improved efficiency through technologies like variable valve timing and turbo dosing.
Decarbonisation was a key theme, with Scania exhibiting its latest battery-electric (BEV) and compressed natural gas (CNG) vehicles. Highlights included a BEV skip loader and a 6x2*4 CNG tractor unit featuring Scania’s biogas engine and new gas tank system offering extended range.
Beyond vehicles, Scania promoted its 360-degree services portfolio, including the Services 360 package and ProDriver programme. These offerings aim to optimise vehicle performance and support operators with tailored maintenance, finance options, and digital driver coaching. Scania reaffirmed its commitment to supporting fleets in their transition to sustainable, efficient operations.
