Anthony Shipp, from M. Dyer in Hawaii, has announced the recent passing of his company’s founder, Medford G Dyer.
Medford was born in 1931 and was recognised as having shaped the moving and transportation industry in Hawaii. Anthony said that he was more than just a visionary leader. “He was a true embodiment of the aloha spirit [love, peace and compassion], guiding our company with kindness, integrity, and a deep sense of ohana [extended family]. His dedication to both his team and community has left an indelible mark on all of us who had the privilege to know him.”
Medford’s journey from humble beginnings, with a single truck operation, to building a thriving business is a testament to his hard work, passion for excellence and unwavering commitment to treating everyone with respect and care. “His values continue to inspire us every day as we strive to uphold the legacy he created,” said Anthony. “We are all a part of Medford’s extended family, and together, we will continue to build upon the strong foundation he laid.”
He added: “As we reflect on Medford’s contributions, and the many lives he touched, we are reminded of the values he instilled in all of us: hard work, integrity, and a deep commitment to service. While we mourn his passing, we also celebrate his extraordinary life and the legacy that will continue to inspire future generations.”
