Logistics UK has named John Trenchard, Vice President Commercial & Supply Chain at DP World, as' Logistics Leader of the Year' at its annual Logistics Awards.

The ceremony took place at the Park Plaza Westminster Bridge on 11 December, 2025.

John Trenchard was recognised for his visionary leadership and commitment to sustainable innovation in logistics. Through initiatives such as Modal Shift and Carbon Inset, he has helped commercialise greener logistics practices, demonstrating that sustainability can deliver both environmental and commercial benefits. His work has encouraged early adoption of low-carbon solutions and delivered measurable impact across the UK logistics sector.

Kevin Green, Acting Chief Executive of Logistics UK, described Trenchard as an inspirational leader whose influence extends well beyond his organisation, helping shape a greener and more efficient industry.

Accepting the award, Trenchard paid tribute to his team and industry partners, highlighting the value of collaboration across the sector.

James Stephens, VP Corporate Affairs UK & Ireland at DHL Supply Chain, was highly commended in the category.
